LAKE COUNTY CONSORTIUM

The Lake County Educational Service Center Consortium was formed to offer candidates a single place to apply for a position in multiple districts. The consortium consists of the following districts:

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS (Certified)

The Lake County ESC approves substitute teachers for the following districts:
Fairport Harbor Exempted Village
Painesville City Local School District
Riverside Local School District
Kirtland Local School District
Madison Local School District
Perry Local School District

Potential substitute teachers need to print and complete the following information before being approved by the Lake County ESC Board:

Please see flyer for training information/cost.  Dates are posted below, subject to change depending on attendance and room availability.

NEW SUBS:
Each new sub will need the following...
-ESC Sub Application
-Current FBI and BCI Fingerprint reports (within the last 365 days)
-Current Teaching/Sub License

RETURNING SUBS:
Each returning sub will need the following...
-ESC Application
-Current Teaching/Sub License
 

Please send your completed ESC application with a copy of your State of Ohio Teacher License and FBI/BCI fingerprint reports (if needed) to Nan Karako (nkarako@lakeesc.org), 382 Blackbrook Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077.  For additional information, please call 440-350-2563 ext. 726.

ALL SUBS MUST RE-APPLY EACH YEAR TO KEEP YOUR SUB STATUS CURRENT.

Once sub approval has been granted by the Lake County ESC Board (1st Tuesday of each month), the sub's name and credentials will be forwarded to the local districts.  The sub will be contacted by the district with additional information on how to obtain a sub position.

If you are a first-time substitute applicant, you must provide a copy of your BCI and FBI fingerprint reports that are less than 12 months old.  Your application will not be processed without these reports.

Incomplete applications will be returned.

 CLASSROOM AIDES/JOB COACHES/TUTORS (Classified)

Occasionally the ESC has openings for Job Coaches/Classroom Aides, please apply on Applitrack.  To be approved for the ESC classified substitute list (Vocational Training Centers and Preschools) please fill out a Substitute Application and submit it to the Lake County Educational Service Center at 382 Blackbrook Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077. 
 

Each school district follows different guidelines for hiring classified personnel (classroom aides, hall monitors, kitchen staff, clerical, etc...), please contact the district directly for their classified sub hiring procedures.
